About US

Etta's Place is a Historic Prairie Victorian home built in 1895 by Sheriff Newt Jones. We are located on "The Argyle Wagon Road; in Friday Harbor's Oldest Neighborhood" The home is named after Etta Egeland, founder of the San Juan Island Historic Society and last resident. Etta was 105 years old when she passed in 2002.

Current owner Carol Anderson restored the home and created three lovely separate vacation rentals. Suites may be rented individually or combined for a larger family.

So far the restoration has taken ten years and as with all historic homes, there is always something more to renew. This has been a fun challenge for Carol; a teacher, education professor and online science education courseware developer.
